
王身敦(Andrew S.T. Wong),现居北京,现为独立摄影师和咨询师,主要工作重点在中国地区。
王身敦于1983年任合众国际社摄影记者,自此开始了24年的摄影记者生涯。之后,先后在路透社任助理编辑、摄影记者、新闻图片副主编、首席摄影记者,工作地点包括香港、伦敦、新加坡、北京等代表处。
从1998年到2004年,王身敦在路透社北京代表处任首席摄影记者,主要负责大中华区事务。他于2004年加入了盖蒂图片社(Getty Images)。他成立了盖蒂在中国的第一个编辑部,并主管运营,直至2008年北京奥运会结束。
王身敦分别于1998年和2003年两度担任世界新闻摄影比赛(“荷赛”)评委。他是荷赛大师班中国区评选委员会成员。他从事的其他与摄影相关的工作还包括摄影师培训、专题讨论会和研讨会。
Andrew S.T. Wong, now living in Beijing, is an independent photographer and consultant with a focus in the China region.
Andrew started his 24-year long photojournalist career as he joined UPI in 1983. He subsequently worked for Reuters as sub-editor, photographer, deputy news pictures editor and chief photographer at different bureaux including Hong Kong, London, Singapore and Beijing.
From 1998 to 2004, Andrew worked as chief photographer at Reuters Beijing bureau where he took care of the greater China region. Upon joining Getty Images in 2004, Andrew set up Getty's first editorial bureau in China and was in charge of the operation up until the end of the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
Andrew served as jury member for World Press Photo in 1998 and 2003 as well as many other photo contests. He is member of the China region selection committee for World Press Photo Master Class. His other photography related commitments include photographers training, seminars and workshops.
